According to some socialists and analysts, the globalization and availability of choices, for instance, in T.V. channels has brought us more complications, depressions and anxiety. The way many of us spend hours only swapping through channels, if we compare it with older times, the whole towns will sit together and watch a same radio show or TV program interestingly. But today we want variety and the more it is the more we are confused.
The same applies to finding flights to popular destinations such as Thailand where almost all airlines fly including the top names KLM, Air Frances, Virgin, British Airways, Qatar, Etihad Airways, Emirates and Thai Airways (the flagship carrier). While buying the tickets, some of us prefer the shorter journey times, some prefer direct flights (affordability matters) and some only chase the cheapest they can find. Today, we are sharing some inside information of how you can decide whether the fare you are paying for a flight is actually cheapo or the cheapest available or it’s just a good sales man you are getting convinced by. Due to the vastness of the subject, we can only discuss one destination in an article and this week it’s Thailand.
The capital of Thailand, Bangkok is one of the busiest and biggest airports in the world. As said, almost all big airlines fly to Bangkok. But is the fare right and cheapest that you are paying for a flight to Bangkok depends on the followings:-
- Direct flights tend to be the most expensive. However, the ideally the fare difference between an indirect and direct flights should not be more than 100 GBP the most.
- The indirect flights have two categories, one with a stop over (over night) other with a change over (changing planes only).
- The stop over flights, if going via Dubai or China some times also involves an accommodation provided at the expense of the airline (Emirates / Air China – please check first). Considering that the flight fare quoted to you included taxes, fare and accommodation, go for the stop over ones. Stop over via interesting countries like UAE and Singapore have added advantages such as duty free shopping etc incase you are available and its not an emergency to reach.
- Flights involving Change over should not be confused with those with stop over as change over times if short (ideally 2.5 hours) are the best and cheapest options. Cheap flights to Bangkok with change over includes KLM, Air France and Qatar etc. It’s a good value for money.
- Lastly, if you are booking flights and also intend to book accommodation in Thailand, do it as a package. Cause there are many airlines that give special holiday airfares which are cheapest than flight fares in general. So your right fare will be the inclusive package price and not flight alone and accommodation from a different seller. You can also book holiday in Thailand, as many companies in UK do package holidays for Thailand
Also to get the right fare for on flights to Bangkok , consider comparing fares of different airlines. The best way to get it is to visit the listing, comparisons or promotional airfares web sites like cheap flights to Thailand.
